Position Summary

Monmouth University is seeking applications for an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission.

The candidate would be expected to: assist the associate director and director in the preparation of reports/data gathering and planning for new and expanded out-of-state initiatives, travel and territory management as a whole; oversee expansion of out-of-state recruitment; oversee marketing and outreach through supervision of counselors recruiting both in-state and out-of-state territories, determining where to host and attending in-state and out-of-state counselor events, and assisting with out-of-state counselor visit programs; represent the Undergraduate Admission office on campus and professional committees; present at high school visits, college fairs, counselor meetings and information sessions; coordinate, develop and oversee technology initiatives, including but not limited to, social media sites, e-newsletters, e-campaigns to applied and accepted students, smart phone applications and other emerging technologies.

Other Requirements

Willingness to travel/recruit throughout New Jersey and Middle States region. Willingness and ability to work both traditional and evening and weekend hours. Excellent writing and public speaking skills.

Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people. Must possess ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Must have the ability to plan, think critically, organize, prioritize, as well as handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

Two years of experience in a college/university Admission Office or related professional area.
