Position Summary

Monmouth University invites applications for Director of Clinical Education, Physician Assistant Program.

The Director will develop new clerkship contracts; conduct clinical and preceptor site visits; maintain a preceptor database; maintain contracts with sites; oversee clinical curriculum including development of clinical assessment tools; provide ongoing review of clinical sites; recruit, develop and maintain clinical sites for Physician Assistant student and clinical experiences; serve as the primary liaison between the Physician Assistant program and the health care community; and other duties as assigned.

Monmouth University grants master’s degrees in fields of study from six academic schools and offers doctorates in nursing practice and educational leadership. Currently approximately 1700 graduate students are enrolled in over 20 different degree programs. Graduate courses are offered at the main campus and the Monmouth University Graduate Center at Monmouth Park Corporate Center in West Long Branch, NJ. We are aggressively seeking growth in graduate programs within the health sciences.

Growth in the School of Nursing & Health Studies over the past decade has included additional programs in Health Studies, Health and Physical Education, and Pre-licensure Nursing at the undergraduate level, and graduate programs in nursing a the master’s and doctoral levels were joined by a master’s Physician Assistant Program, and a program in Speech-Language Pathology offered through the School of Education.

Master of Science degree in a Physician Assistant Program.

One year of working experience in clinical education within the New Jersey metropolitan area. Recent clinical experience.

National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certified.

Possess a current New Jersey Physician Assistant license or license-eligible.
