Position Summary

Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Director of Graduate Marketing.

The Director of Graduate Marketing will steward the strategic enrollment marketing efforts for Graduate Studies and serve as the primary point of contact for all enrollment-related graduate marketing. The Director will work closely with the Associate Vice President for Undergraduate and Graduate Admission, Vice Provost for Graduate Studies, and graduate program directors to develop and coordinate strategic marketing efforts for the Office of Graduate Admission, for each graduate program, and for Graduate Studies overall, with the ultimate goal of increasing graduate enrollments.

The Director will report ultimately to the Associate Vice President for Undergraduate and Graduate Admission but will also have reporting responsibilities to the Vice Provost for Graduate Studies.

Three years of marketing experience. Higher education marketing experience. Copywriting experience.

Strategic thinking, along with attention to detail, as well as superior organizational, project-management (including managing multiple projects on deadline), time-management, and written and oral communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Powerpoint) and any standard content management (CMS) system.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree.

Manage the development and implementation of program-specific graduate marketing plans in support of the institution’s enrollment goals.

Work directly with Marketing and Communications staff to develop collateral (print and digital) for each graduate program that supports recruitment objectives.

Work collaboratively with program directors, the Vice Provost for Graduate Studies, and graduate admission counselors to coordinate pre-enrollment outreach to key stakeholders (e.g., prospective students, corporate partners, alumni).

Ensure that all marketing and communication activities are in alignment with the University’s brand strategy.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all pre-enrollment graduate marketing and communication requests; determine practicability and best approach (e.g., email, newsletter, postcard) using benchmarking and best practices.

Lead the promotion of graduate enrollment events and initiatives, including the Graduate Studies Information Sessions and the Graduate Studies Academic Orientation.

Work closely with the University’s media agency to develop the graduate advertising strategy and to review/revise creative in alignment with University’s brand strategy. Ensure that all materials and initiatives are envisioned and executed for optimal delivery across all channels (print, email, web, social) for both domestic and international students.
