Position Summary

The Music and Theatre Arts Department at Monmouth University is seeking applications for a part-time On-Call Carpenter to build sets for theatrical productions.

Other Requirements

Familiarity with building sets for theatrical productions. Experience in frame construction including layout, framing, stairs, door hanging and trim. Must be able to follow 1/4" scale plans accurately and build to 1/8" tolerance with tools that are supplied. Must be able to complete project for a specific deadline.

Knowledge of carpentry skills and ability to operate power tools and read design plans. Must be able to work independently to build set pieces.

Must be able to work flexible hours.
