Monmouth University seeks a 3D Video Game Production Adjunct Professor for a year-long, interdisciplinary video game production class.

Over the course of an academic year, which runs from September to May, this candidate will teach a group of software engineering and computer science students the Unity coding environment to then produce an engaging new game.

Students from multiple disciplines across the campus will be providing media assets for the game development including 3D animation, 2D elements, music, sound design, script writing, voice over, video and additional elements.

The candidate will work collaboratively with professors in the Art and Design, Music, Communication, and Computer Science and Software Engineering Departments to manage and organize the project (including asset management and setting of deadlines).

The goal is to simulate a real world work environment that benefits from the diversity of knowledge and skills available on campus. In Fall, the course will coincide with a critical theory class on video games. The candidate will be hired for the equivalent of one course per semester.

Review of applications will begin on 8/25.
