Required Skills or Software Intermediate knowledge of MS Word 2010, Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately

Must have excellent writing skills, a strong knowledge of grammar and punctuation, and mastery of at least one documentation style.

Duty

Assist undergraduate and graduate-level students, students with disabilities, non-native speakers of English, alumni and employees with writing general academic as well as discipline-specific papers.

Regular or Occasional Regular
Duty

Assist students, alumni and employees with theses, resumes, cover letters, application essays for graduate school, personal statements and internship applications (additional training may be required).

Assist with class presentations on the Writing Center.

Assist with research projects on tutoring theory and pedagogy as well as writing theory and pegagogy.
